Bardo: life after death

Bardo: life after death

The doctrine of death and rebirth,  Bardo todrol, was born in Tibetan Buddhism. The information about it is presented in the Tibetan Book of the Dead.
Death  is not the end, but the birth is not the beginning. Death means that the higher self “I”  leaves the gross body.
The term “bardo” refers to  “transitional state”  of consciousness and usually the state of existence intermediate between two lives on earth.

qxHJvpqvJeU

However, in a cyclic process of life-death-rebirth, there are four main types of Bardo, i.e transitional states of consciousness according to some schools in Tibet.

1. The first type of these states is Bardo of Birth, this is what we call life. It is also called Bardo of life.
Now we are born and live in the world of humans. Our individual karma, that is, the actions that we commit during our  present lifetime will determine the kind of world we will be reborn in our next lifetime.
Within Bardo of life we can distinguish three types of consciousness state: Bardo of sleeping state, Bardo of awaken state, and Bardo of meditative state.

2. Bardo of the moment of death is a state that lasts from the beginning of dying until the separation of the soul from the body.
Just before the death, the senses stop working, and this is  a sign of entering into the Bardo of dying. First, we no longer hear, then no longer see, then subsequently the sense of smell disappears, then the taste and the touch. After that, while we are still alive, our body begins to break down into four basic elements: Earth, Water, Fire and Wind. Upon the completion of this process we are considered dead.
However, after the death, the soul for a short time still remains in the heart center.

The seven laws of Hermes Trismegistus

The seven laws of Hermes Trismegistus

Hermeticism is associated with the personality of Hermes Trismegistus, who left the traces of his presence in different parts of the world for hundreds of years. In particular, he was the last king of Atlantis, a high priest in ancient Egypt and the one who contributed to the preservation and dissemination of ancient knowledge on Earth. Once during archaeological excavations researchers discovered some pottery smithers with strange inscriptions and deciphered them. These were the most ancient laws of humanity. And the most striking thing is that these laws still work in our times.

The first law of Hermes "THE ALL IS MIND; The Universe is Mental." What does it mean? What is the mind ? Mentality is our thought forms. It means a presence of thought in any subject matter. Our planet is a thinking being. It does not matter whether you believe it or not. Try to imagine that there are thinking entities everywhere around you. Try to listen, to communicate with these entities. And see, what will be the result of this communication.

The second law is the law of correspondence, "As below, so above. As above, so below. "
According to the second law, if you want to have something tangible in this world, your thought forms have to be clear and explicit. If you are not telling or defining clearly something, if you are not certain about your desires, they will never be fulfilled. Because the effect of mirror reflection is functioning here: "As below, so above. As above, so below. " So, if you have a disorder in your home and don't clean up, on mental level too you will probably be a mess. If you have a particular desire, it must be very clearly related to what you have on your physical level.

If you want to become a great writer, the desk you are working at should be in absolute order promoting your work: no dust, no dirt, minimum number of drafts, required books. When drafts are all over and get collected somewhere, you get chaos and it becomes difficult to move on. Suppose you have your own sewing workshop. You should clearly see what you are going to sew tomorrow, in a year or two. You need to be clear on the future of the workpiece, otherwise there will be no progress. If you store old dirty rags and do not find any use for them, it will stop your progress. In any business, you need to clearly see what you'll do. And do not wait for tomorrow, if you postpone all is gone.

The third law is the law of vibration. "Nothing rests; everything moves; everything vibrates.”

Happy New Black Water Snake Year 2013 !

Happy New Black Water Snake Year 2013 !

On February 11, 2013 Buddhists around the world celebrate New Year according to the Buddhist calendar, the year of the Black Water Snake.  Tibetan New Year, or Losar (sometimes known as Losar Gyalpo – Imperial New Year) is celebrated for a maximum of 2 weeks, sometimes more, sometimes less.

Usually, during these days you can see many interesting things like animals and ritual dancing skeletons, black hats dance, dance with swords, battle stages between good and evil, fire performances and a mystery spectacle Tsam, with different historical and mythological characters.

4b2m5fLg0NMFor Buddhists Losar is the sacred period that should be devoted to family, feasts and celebrations. In order for the coming year to be successful, at the end of the finishing year it is good to do a spring cleaning in the house and paint it with fresh paint.

Homes are decorated with lights, and the roofs of homes with decorative umbrellas and prayer flags. The walls, pillars and beams of the house, and even the yard are decorated with drawings made of a special paint with flour or batter.

They represent different characters that are bringing luck such as the moon, the sun, or a flower or a vase. Also to decorate people use small flashlights and juniper branches, attached to the door. People throw out of their homes last year’s debris and junk, as it is considered a bad thing to enter the New Year with old trash and dirt.

In some areas, people make in advance a small sculpt,  a small figure named Linga, tying to it  pieces of expensive cloth, ribbons, coins and all sorts of decorations. Then, all family members perform a special rite, conjuring spirits of grief and unhappiness to  enter into Linga. On the last day of the last month of the old year a specially invited Lama comes, he takes the figure and burns it in a specially prepared fire.

To entertain family and friends, Tibetans bake mountains of cakes, and also some special buns for a divination, which are stuffed with a variety of items: chips, chunks of coal, scraps of paper, yak hair, medicinal roots, rice and even lumps of manure, or salt.

Princess of Altai Mountains

Princess of Altai Mountains

Mountain plateau Ukok is located in the south of the Altai Mountains at a height of about three kilometers above sea level  and has long been considered a sacred territory.

ukok1The plateau borders with Russia, China, Mongolia, and Kazahstan. According to indigenous Altai tribes, exactly here, at the foot of the great mountains Tavyn Bogdo Ola, the mountainous  world, the second layer of the heavens begins.

Even today modern day Altai residents believe that this is a a closed area,  which can not be disturbed in vain, and if a person comes into this place with bad intentions, his family will have an  inevitable punishment.
Local residents are afraid to go up to the glacier, firmly believing there are living spirits there and consider the mountains to be sacred. Any form of regular activities is prohibited, except for the ritual ones, which is allowed only for the shamans.

курган
It is difficult to get here, from a helicopter you can see a breathtaking, beautiful and eerie view with giant, towering boulders, steep cliffs, and the river Ak-Alah. Perhaps there is no other  place in the Altai more fantastic and unearthly than this one.

There is the following explanation of the name of  Ukok plateau, in Mongolian uheg literally means extended cabinet, drawer, a massive mountain or large hill with a flat top.

Ukok in Kyrgyz language is used to describe  mountains with flat peak. The word “Ukek” was used as the name of the city in the ancient Bulgar kingdom, the ruins of which were found near Saratov.

Burial complexes on Ukok Plateau also have a sacred character. It was here, near the border with China, the researchers found a buried mummy of a young woman, who was probably revered as goddess during her lifetime. On her left shoulder there is a well-preserved tattoo with a depicted sacred symbol, the Altaic griffin. This wonderful lady was named the Altai Princess.

What makes this burial unique is that six chestnut horses were buried together with the woman … According to Chinese mythology, these horses were called cylin heavenly horses that were able to take a man to ascend to dizzying heights.
укок
They were a mixture with a griffin and were associated with the image of the Mother Goddess, who gave birth to the whole human race.
The vestment of the woman is also very unusual. Her clothes were made of fine silk, and  framed with thick red belt.
Archaeologists believe that this is the sign mark of a warrior and of an initiate. Her tall hat with golden complex decorations says of her magic power, according to ancient beliefs she was a keeper of secrets of creation and immortality.
Local residents claim that they have always known about the burial on the plateau Ukok and their ancestress named Kadyn, but did not dare to disturb her sacred dream.
The ancient Greek historian Herodotus, a contemporary of the mysterious Princess, was writing about Scythians, the tribes inhabiting the mountainous Altai, who were able to shape-shift into griffins guarding the gold. These unknown beings were very tall and had  an unearthly appearance.
Herodotus says that the Scythians had their kings, which were governed by

Throat singing by Choduraa Tumat

Throat singing by Choduraa Tumat

Throat singing is a singing technique with an unusual articulation in the pharynx, and / or throat, characteristic of traditional (especially religious) music of Siberia, Mongolia, Tibet and some other nations.

Usually throat singing consists of a basic tone (bass “buzz”) and the upper voice, which moves in the natural tones of the scale (usually using 4 – 13 overtones).

Overtones are clearly audible when when sound components amplify  by changing the shape of resonant cavities of the mouth, throat and pharynx.
This allows the singer to produce multiple tones.

The most famous is the Tuvan throat singing, using technique horekteer. Often throat singing  in Mongolia and Tuva is called khoomei, as it is the most common and internally diverse singing style by region.
Throat singing is typical for

Hambo Lama Itigelov. After death meditation Tukdam.

Hambo Lama Itigelov. After death meditation Tukdam.

The unique story of “life after death” of this Buryat lama began in 2002, after the third exhumation Itigelov Hambo Lama’s body (1852-1927). During his last meditation Itigelov gathered his disciples and asked them to begin  Tibetan prayer for the dying. The students didn’t dare to start so their teacher  did and told his disciples that he was going to leave this world, and asked to be taken from his grave after 75 years and to make sure that he continues to live. The last words of Hambo Lama Itigelov were: “I’ll get back to you in 75 years.”

After the opening of the sarcophagus in 2002, in the presence of Russian Buddhist leaders and medical experts, everyone was stunned to find Itigelov Lama, still sitting in the same ‘lotus’ position, which he took 75 years ago, before going into his last meditation. Not only that he is perfectly preserved, the body retains all the characteristics of a living body, such as, for example, soft and elastic skin, the mobility of the fingers and elbows. After Lama was taken out from the box in which he was buried, his body remained in a sitting position without any aids or supports.

Now it is already ten years that have passed since the “return” of Lama, and his body, its biological age is close to 160 years. He is now in Ivolginsky datsan, in a glass sarcophagus, which is not regulated by the temperature or humidity. His body still shows no signs of decay, which is confirmed by many experts from various countries, who have come to the conclusion that the body of Itigelov meets all the criteria of the body of a living person. It was also confirmed that the body was not subjected to any mummification or embalming.

His caretaker Bimbo Lama c

How do our thoughts affect our health ?

How do our thoughts  affect our health ?

Interview with Dashi-Nima, Emchi Lama of Ivolginsky datsan, Tibetan Buddhist Temple in Ulan-Ude

-As far as we know, in the Buryat tradition it was forbidden to  laugh or to cry too much. How do our emotions affect our health?

– They do affect a lot. Recently there was a member of North Korean national football team who had a  heart attack on the field, his heart stopped after the joy of victory. Excessive joy has an impact on the physical body. The reason is the  attachment to the result, fanaticism which is in fact an unconscious aggression. You have to be humble and quiet. "There are many high and  intelligent but  the truth is revealed to humble ones."

- Well, lets’ remember the tradition. The Buryats didn’t mourn for the dead, it was necessary to restrain any manifestation of grief and be reserved, while it was accepted to grieve and mourn the passed away relatives loudly among Russians. Which way is accepted more?

- There is a tale, in which the Sultan sent three tax collectors to the poor. The first time the poor ones were crying inconsolably, second time they cried even louder, and third time they were laughing ... And then the Sultan said: "Enough is enough, they have nothing else." When all is lost, and there is nothing to be attached to, the man finds freedom and independence. Crying helps to relieve stress, but the extremes should be avoided.

According to Buddhist tradition, people do not cry in order to release the passed away person, to let him quietly go away into another world. But a good cry and then letting it go also helps. Because "keeping" the dead person and reminding yourself of how good it used to be when he or she was alive is selfishness. There are people around you that need more of your attention. Tradition is not bad and is not good. It's just a tradition.

- What happens to those who suppress their emotions too much?

- Diabetes, for example, occurs to those who keep themselves in tension. In Tibetan medicine book “Chzhud-shi" it says that all diseases come from the root of ignorance. When people are attached to something too much, at first glance, even to positive things: to work, to the result and even to spirituality, honesty and generosity, it can be dangerous. When a person is too honest, he begins at some point to oppose himself to the rest of people - dishonest, low, from his point of view. And this is pride.

When a person hates the dishonest and unjust it is an aggression which transforms into a program of self-destruction. When a person gets very angry and agitated, his blood, liver, pancreas produces a huge amount of bile and hormones are disturbed. Islets of Langerhans, responsible for the production of insulin, begin to break down. Accordingly, blood sugar gets increased. Glaucoma is also the case with those who excessively accumulate the anger and tension. Eyes are associated with the liver; you can even say that the eyes are the windows of the liver.

- It means that only the people who are "ignorant" get affected by diseases. So we can now declare that all sick patients are to blame for their own illnesses.

- No. If you think arrogantly about those who are sick, that they are ignorant, that they are not wise enough, or intelligent enough, and so on, it’s a straight path for yourself to become sick. Shakyamuni Buddha predicted that there will be times when people will get infections and will suffer tumors. Everyone is exposed to the root of ignorance, we are all humans. Sometimes, people say, what a good person! In this evaluation there is an error: good for who? For you and, let’s say for your relatives?

But for others maybe he was not that good, maybe even bad. All is relative. The way a person looks and talks does not always correspond to his inner spirit, his fate. Maybe a person is too attached to the mind, the intellect. These people, by the way, often suffer sugar jumps. They begin to despise the dumb, stupid. But in that "stupidity" in simplicity there is sometimes more wisdom. This "stupid" in some ways is much wiser than "smart", who collects all the negativity in himself.

- What is a disease from your point of view?

- Disease is a block. When we start to get attached to something too much we begin self-destruct program. The disease prevents us from rapid decay.

Theoretically a person without disease would have, simply, quickly fall apart. But the disease blocks it, gives him warning signs. My teacher told the patient: "Those who have the blood sugar high, need to get angry a bit, to cry, let emotions to get out." And the patient was a very intelligent man, he liked to hold everything in himself. No wonder people say : Speak it all out , Cry it all out. In this sense the crying is useful.

- And why there is such a growing number of diseases?

- "Chzhud-shi" explains where the diseases, infections, epidemics, cancer are coming from. We often talk about the environment. We chop trees; violate the laws of the universe. In the old times there was a saying: Do not cut trees near water. It is very dangerous, it's a disaster. Water begins to change its structure and to deteriorate.  "Chzhud-shi" says people will start to pollute the Earth, and the spirits of Earth and Water will start to take revenge. Universe is a whole organism. We are all in some way connected. And he, who does not cut the trees, is still responsible. Our life is a chain of causes and effects.

- So we are in inevitable trouble? For the people, some antibiotics do not help already ...

- One doctor urologist told me that sometimes very expensive antibiotics do not help to cure the infection. But Tibetan medicine has a wide range of natural remedies to fight infections. Just it takes longer time. Medications are attributed according to the type of constitution of man: wind, bile, phlegm. There are women's diseases caused by dangerous winds, there are those that are caused by the danger of blood.

Dangers of wind are various and severe endometriosis with chronic diseases of the pelvic organs. Dangers of Blood are endometritis, with arterial hypertension. Everything is determined by pulse. Cinnamon, cardamom, asparagus, mustard,
Paeonia root in the right proportions increase the body heat. Chung, aconite, musk and other herbal remedies fight infections.

-It is autumn now. What we should be aware of in autumn?

- Reduced activity of kidney heat or "cold in the kidney," arises from the fact that people are wrong about their clothing, things they put on. To this also contributes the consumption of beer. And then we have requests to cure prostatitis, because people do not know that it is associated with the consumption of beer.

Beer is cold by its properties. If you drink it when it is chilled, it begins to oppress the heat of the stomach, the kidneys. This provokes male and female diseases. Pregnancy problems, infertility arise from the lack of heat in the body by the kidneys. Excessive consumption of beer triggers these diseases.

- What you should drink to stay healthy during the cold season?

- It is better to drink warm boiled water. To think that boiled water is dead is prejudice. Contrary to Western trends Tibetologists do not believe that people should drink two liters of clean water a day. Drinking norms depend on the season, the constitution of man, the nature of his work and eating habits.
Drinking cold water cools the stomach, pancreas, liver and colon. Sipping cold water from a bottle like in American tradition, you can "earn" diabetes. Excess of water reduces function of the pancreas, which leads to a special type of diabetes. People with constitution type "bile” that always feel hot, can drink water more. But it is better, if it is warm.

- Going back to the emotions. What is the impact on our health when we get upset on somebody and keep the hurt inside?

- Even the smallest hurt has a destructive force. Most often it affects the kidneys. Women often get upset on men, to fathers and thus disturb the harmony of yin and yang-, the unity of opposites. Getting upset on somebody means a subconscious hatred, wishing a death to the offender. When it accumulates, it inhibits the kidneys and affects women's health. The same way for men. Those who get upset on women begin to suffer male problem. These are very simple examples. Consequences of injuries are very diverse and heavy.

- What other emotions harm health?

- Regretting. Ignorance breeds desire, the desire turns into addiction, attachment, which always generates aggression. For example, young couple fell in love, they love and desire each other. Attachment obscures true love. One of them makes this feeling as an end result which leads to increased jealousy, suspicion, desire to subjugate.

Regretting is also an aggression to time. Person begins to reproach himself why did I do that? Repentance is a way to put an end to regret. Do not reproach yourself again, and take a vow that from now on it will never happen again. You should not regret also about what has not yet been done. On a more subtle level, there is no past and no future.

Don’t believe in fairy tales, they once were true

Don’t believe in fairy tales, they once were true
Fairy tales sometimes contain fantasy but sometimes true information about the past, wrapped in the most incredible and bizarre shapes and veiled by generations of storytellers.

From childhood I used to listen to Romanian fairy tales. It’s not even just fairy tales, these are folk tales, later on retold by the Romanian writers, which carry numerous grains of  a very very ancient knowledge about  vertically walking giant beings covered with squama  or shell and  two-legged horned and tailed creatures, who used to steal daughters of men and marry with them, also about two, three, five, six, ten, twelve and twenty-four-headed dragons, who were able to change their  look and also liked women, about one-armed or one-legged  creatures, about immortal beings , about the underworld inhabited by snakes, dragons and other monstrous creatures.

Also about existing from time to time connection gates between the two worlds, about two, four, six and twelve winged horses that don’t eat anything but red-hot coals and fly in the air covering the distance of thousands of kilometers in seconds, about Far Far Away kingdoms where youth has no age and life is without death and where time has stopped, about fairies, witches, wizards, and  miraculous ability of people or creatures like people to shape shift and appear as angry bears or tigers, or in the shape of a small bird or mice, or reviving the dead with the living water.

The origins of these and many other stories are lost in the remotest depths of the human past.
They come down to us only because they escaped destruction in ancient times, the early Christian era and the dark years of the Middle Ages and remained in oral folk tradition, later on re-written by Romanian writers of XIX a. (Ion Creanga,  Mihai Eminescu, Trifan Balte, etc.).
Based on the information contained in fairy tales, can we at least approximately suppose the time when they were created? In some fairy tales there are not only vague hints, but quite explicit points.  For example, “The tale of the pig” by Ion Creanga  states that the king’s daughter, who was looking for  Fat-Frumos around the world, who was conceived by centuries old “grandfather” and “grandmother”.

She was pregnant for three years during which she was travelling, crossed seas and countless countries, was walking through disastrous forests and deserts, full of dragons, poisonous snakes, basilisks, who were able to kill just by gazing, the hydra with twenty-four heads, and many other countless terrible reptiles, with widely gaping mouths ready to swallow, among the beasts, whose excessive greed, cunningness  and ferocity can not be described  by the language of man. Once she found  Fat-Frumos she gave birth to a child without suffering and pain.

According to Svarogov cycle  in the ancient Slavic pagan tradition, the humans were doomed to suffering and child birth in pain after the fall of  “First World”, that was completely  destroyed, and it was mostly without actual humans. In fact, during  ”First World”, the gods lived on earth and coexisted together with created by them humans and the pregnancy was without labor pains. It was an amazing world full of wonders and magic, and populated by the most incredible creatures.

According to genealogy of Chaldean kings made by Babylonian priest and historian Berosus (“History of Babylonia”, IV-III centuries. BC) and Aristotle’s student Abid (“The Chaldean kings and the Flood”), humans life before the destruction of the previous world ranged from more than 200-300 years old to 10-65 000 years  depending on different saros chronology interpretations adopted by them , 18 or 3600 years. Antediluvian history of modern mankind lasted from 3000 to 430 thousands of years. The authors pointed out the duration of saros was 3600 years.

Comparison of  Romanian fairy tales and the conclusions of Berosus and Abid in Indian traditions indicates that the life duration of  ”the Chaldean kings” was 10,000 years or more. Thus, according to “Bhagava Purana”, Diti pregnancy lasted for about 100 years,  according to “Matsya Purana”,   Waranga’s  pregnancy, the mother of Taraki, lasted for a thousand of years, and like all other pregnancies at that time happened with no pain.

In “Battle of ancient gods”  book based on a comparative analysis of folklore and geological data, I showed that the first true humans appeared about 1.5 million years ago. Based on the duration of the periods between disasters and the assumption that disasters have been associated with World Wars I calculated that the lifetime of the first mankind was about 1,000 years. It is in good agreement with the Biblical data. Then it gradually decreased until the present time. The first sudden reduction in life expectancy apparently fell on late Pleistocene East European Plain glaciations, 70,000 years ago, maybe then the human lifetime became shorter, of 120 years.

After the end of the last glaciations, 12,000 years ago  people’s lives become even shorter and remains as such to this day. So if all is right it means the Romanian fairy tales describe events that were happening more than 70 000 years ago. It can actually be much earlier than the specified time. Because first of all, the world of fairy tales was inhabited by wizards, witches and werewolves, and in the time of humans , according to legend, there was not much.

Second, fairy tales don’t say usually anything about the glaciations or ice age, on the contrary elsewhere eternal summer is described. Thirdly, according to Svarogov cycle in Slavic pagan legend humans were destined to give child birth in pain after the death of the “First World”, most part of which was inhabited not by real people. And it could be earlier than 1.5 million years ago or even earlier. Thus, the fairy tales describe the world 1.5 million years apart from us , less likely to 100 – 70 000 years.

In any case, it was a different world full of magic, inhabited by very different creatures , vertically walking reptiles, dragons, basilisks, hydra and other creatures. There were also beings or creatures that in fairy tales and legends are called people. It is only necessary to read them more carefully to understand it all.

Shaman helper spirits and spirits of diseases

Shaman helper spirits and spirits of diseases

Today many people try to use different ancient practices for different purposes, sometimes good or bad. Often those teachings are pulled out of their spiritual and cultural context and used without understanding and knowing the whole bigger picture in which they are used. So if this happens people  using those teachings can get burn because it can fire back and they can harm themselves or people around.  It is easy to destroy something even if you don’t intend to do so. You don’t need to be super skilled, smart or with some special abilities to harm.
Nowadays there are higher energy vibrations and our thoughts have power. Often it is enough to think bad about someone or something and it will manifest. On the contrary it takes a great deal of energy, power, self-mastery, expertise to repair the broken, to create new things, to heal the sick, to restore the balance and to bring peace.

The shamanic training is a lifetime journey involving many aspects of personal development. The same way you would not expect to perform a brain surgery from a person who did just a weekend class, one shouldn’t expect to become a shaman in a two days class.
Shaman’s life is complex and involves many things like healing ,divination , blessings, rites of passage and astral travel. In this article we’ll take a look at one of the main job of a shaman, working with spirits.

Shaman can help to cast away spirits of  diseases with  his own powers or with the help of his helper spirits. But it is always good to know that the disease gets into any person because of his own wrong relationship with people around, animals or plants so everyone is responsible for his own healthy state of being, for his own spiritual hygiene and purity etc

The  purity is about keeping your energies clean which is crucial for human health. At the moment of birth we inherited through genes a lot of things from our ancestors and parents. Later, during our lifetime we accumulate more from our own actions, behavior and nature. If during the process of becoming what we are there was some energy violation, our body and internal organs begin to function improperly, which leads to various diseases. So it is very important to observe our actions, making the right steps in our life because we are the only responsible for our own health and our life.

But what is a disease? Where does it occur and how it is transmitted?  How is it explained from shamanic point of view?  In shamanism everything has a spirit and a disease has too.  Some spirits are very powerful and highly developed beings. So every illness is like a real person with his own wishes and desires. In the process of shamanic healing it is necessary to banish the spirit of sickness from the body. Spirits of diseases often resist, so shaman helper spirits are often used to ensure the successful banishing.  The shaman helper spirits can take care of all and fully protect a shaman from the disease invasion.

The diseases spirits can often be identified by their appearance and can resonate with our usual representations of disease. For example, spirit of influenza can look like simple sticky fat slow worms. It seem that it’s easy to get rid of it  but it is not so. Some may leave but most are hiding and are waiting till the shaman goes away. So it helps if shaman has helper spirit like bird, mole, hedgehog,  badgers, frog or fox. After the first batch is removed, the shaman is redoing the procedure  to make sure  no single worm remains. If everything was done correctly and the whole bulk was removed the patient’s temperature drops down and falls asleep immediately.

Spirit of cerebral infraction is like a snake. It silently slides into the body at a very early stage when no clinical symptoms of the disease are yet observed. If the patient doesn’t get up for a long time then  a help of a very experienced shaman is needed. But if the patient treatment begins at an early stage, when the spirit of cerebral infraction is still quite small, there is a good chance to stop or delay the progression of the disease. The snake is usually located in the paralyzed half of the body. If you start to hunt for it, it starts to rush through the patient body.

The spirit of depression is  like a little turtle. It is inactive, immobile and its armor shell looks thin and floppy with a tiny skinny body underneath it. As the depression develops the turtle grows bigger and reaches larger sizes. If it is the case the disease will transform into a serious mental illness. But if a shaman has a sparrow hawk in his team, it could take the turtle high up  in the air and break the shell.

The spirit of sciatica is like a rabbit who dug himself a hole inside the injured leg and simply carries the grass for his rabbit wife and his rabbit children. It is not easy to cure such a patient. It might seem that the patient felt better, but after a while the pain comes back again, maybe not all the rabbits were removed since they have other tunnels and holes where they are hiding. Most of the people suffering from sciatica are hunters, farmers or their relatives.

Psoriasis’ spirits are fish or reptiles.  Those "beings" in the form of fish cause long-lasting  often incurable disease. It is very hard to find these creatures. You need helper spirits who can live and work in the water in order to fight those diseases. When there are pancreatitis symptoms a large monitor lizard making sounds like sighs can be found  in the pancreas. This kind of thing is often impossible to move. It sighs as if it is saying that you are trying in vain and it is true if the shaman does not have the right element helper spirit.

A chronic disease is a cohabitation of many types of disease spirits. For instance in chronic tonsillitis,  sore throat  you can detect up to 10 different entities. In acute angina you can detect several disease agents in the shape of water bugs. It is very difficult for both modern medicine and shamans to combat a disease that has become chronic. Another very serious disease is cancer that is seen as a crab. It is very difficult and often impossible to kick him out of a person.
That’s why shaman’s helper spirits are very important, to work without them is very tough. Spirits helpers may look like animals, birds, insects, or reptiles. Depending on how they look, you can assume what qualities they have and what is the nature of their habits.

Spirits helpers are obtained during the shamanic journeys and they are wonderful beings. It is important to know the names of your helper spirits. These names should be kept secret and not told to anyone. The spirits can protect the shaman from anyone anywhere and distance to them doesn’t matter.
Shaman’s helper spirits are the most beautiful and loyal beings in the world. Performing a treatment without their help can be a very dangerous adventure and those shamans who did try it were able to really see the difference with and without them and can really appreciate the power and help of their helper spirits.
The role of the shaman is important in healing but more important is the patient’s attitude, his inner transformation.
If he has a deep sincere and  heartfelt desire to be healed then his own soul’s  beauty, goodness and  light, grace and acceptance, sincerity and purity , forgiveness and love will get  reflected to him as in a shining mirror and this is when true  healing miracles happen.

Farther Sky  , Mother Earth,
Listen to me, hear me well.
Let our people be always lighted up with joy.
I ask health for our spirits and bodies,
Peace for our  homes, good luck in our occupations
Wellbeing and prosperity.
Let us always be fed and clothed,
Let the doors of happiness  be opened in front of us
Wherever we go.
Let the spirits of all living and deceased loved ones
Be joyful and at  piece.
May they guard us and protect us .
So be it!

How Can You Charge for Spiritual Teachings?

How Can You Charge for Spiritual Teachings?

by Drunvalo

I am about to share with you my own experiences of charging for spiritual teaching. This sharing is my gift, on a practical level, to those of you who are teaching spiritual information now, or especially to you who are about to teach. If you are a seeker, perhaps this will help you to understand the precarious balance that spiritual teachers must find if they are to remain in integrity with what they charge you to come to their classes.

How I Began Teaching
Almost twenty years ago, I was asked by my guides to teach what had been taught to me in the twelve years prior to that. I didn't know, during the whole twelve years of my training, that I was going to be asked to do this. So the request came as a surprise.

The request also came as a shock. So much so that at first I said no. I didn't want to make my life public. I was thinking only of myself. But over a period of about two weeks, my guides made clear to me the Spiritual Law that says, When you receive a spiritual gift, it cannot be kept only for yourself. It must be shared with others. When I saw the truth of what they were saying to me, I reluctantly agreed to teach what I had learned.

As I set out to prepare to teach a class on the Mer-Ka-Ba meditation of ascension and Sacred Geometry — the sacred shapes and proportions that generate the Creation within which we live — I encountered an ordinary and everyday problem: Was I to charge money for this spiritual knowledge, or was it to be given away for free?

This was a question that had never entered my mind until that moment. I really didn't know what to do.

Spiritual Traditions Differ
My first thought, because I went to Catholic schools when I was growing up, was that the teachings must be given freely. Many Christians believe that because Jesus gave away his teachings, so should spiritual teachers today.

But during the past twelve years my guides had been sending me all over the world learning from different sources, and the spiritual teachers and traditions I had encountered all put forth different ideas about charging for spiritual knowledge.

For several of the twelve years, for example, I was a Sufi, and the Sufi tradition says the exact opposite of the Christian tradition. I was taught by the Sufis never to give away spiritual knowledge. The Sufi teachers I studied with believed that there must be an exchange. It didn't have to be money, but there had to be an exchange, or the student would miss the lesson.

From these two opposite poles, I began to contemplate what to do.

What Would Jesus Do?
Then I thought of Jesus. If he were alive today, could he preach in the same way that he did 2000 years ago? And I saw immediately that the answer was no. To begin with, gathering thousands or even hundreds of people together in cities nowadays is illegal. If he tried it, Jesus would be arrested immediately and fined. And if he continued to do it, they would put him in prison. To gather people legally, he would have to hire managers to obtain licenses for assembling, or rent the venues within cities, which is very expensive. If he traveled outside of the country that he lived in, he would have to have passports and airline tickets.

In other words, if Jesus had performed his ministry under 21st-century conditions, he would have been faced with the same ''money'' problems that all spiritual teachers are faced with today. So, for simple, practical reasons, spiritual teachers must charge something or find someone who will pay the expenses for them. Either way, the expenses are a fact of life.

The first reality that I was faced with was the undeniable fact that if I was going to gather a hundred people together under one roof, I would have to pay for the space. I didn't have any money myself, so how was I going to pay for this venue? It became excruciating clear that I had to charge something, or I couldn't even begin to teach.

The more I realized the costs of putting on a seminar — phone bills, mailing costs, electronic and audiovisual equipment, PA systems, plane tickets to various locations, and on and on — it became absolutely clear that it was going to cost money to teach, whether I liked it or not.

Further, if a spiritual teacher is to devote his or her entire life to teaching, as I was being asked to do, there has to be enough money left over to pay life's simple necessities — rent, food, etc. And so taking all of these concepts into consideration, I realized that what was important in today's world was that the exchange the Sufi's talked about had to be ''fair.''

There are spiritual organizations that require you to give everything you own over to them before they will teach you, and some which require such high prices that only a few people could ever pay for their spiritual knowledge. One, which I will not identify, asked of students that they pay over $100,000 for the information. These are examples of the extreme, and in my mind they are wrong. They are not fair.

Giving It Away
Then, as I actually began to teach, I discovered that no matter what price you put on the class or seminar you are teaching, for some people it will be too much. There are people who are so poor — especially in foreign countries — that any reasonable price whatsoever is impossible for them.

My first solution to this was to allow free classes for those who could not pay for them.

And that was when I began to experience directly the reason for the Sufi understanding that you must never give away spiritual knowledge. I truly hadn't known why the Sufis believed this idea, but the answer now unfolded right before my eyes.

Class after class, as I gave out free tuition to those who said they could not otherwise attend, I experienced that it was these people — the ones who were allowed in for free — who never understood what was being taught. I even discovered that if another person paid for someone's class, there was the same problem. The free students were almost always the ones who showed up late and left in the middle. They were the ones who would fall asleep or talk throughout the class. And, even more important, they were the ones who didn't actually practice the meditation after the class was over. The Sufi's reasons for never giving away spiritual knowledge for free were glaringly apparent.

A Fair Exchange
So what was the answer? I decided that the exchange was all-important. If students received the teaching for free, it would have no meaning to them, but the exchange didn't have to be money. Instead of money, they could give time and energy. In so doing, they would engage their desire to learn, and it would have meaning to them.

So I told those who said they could not pay that if they would volunteer their time to one of the major charities, such as Red Cross — enough time, based on ten dollars per hour, to pay for the workshop — then they could attend for free. I asked for a letter from the charity to verify their time.

I still do this today. And what is truly fascinating is that only about one person out of fifty actually takes me up on this offer! Even though they are not working and could easily give their time, it turns out that almost all of those who ask to come to my workshops without paying are not doing it out of deep spiritual desire, but simply because they want to get ''something for nothing.''

How Beliefs Affect Your Results
Another side of the equation of paying for spiritual knowledge is that whatever we believe to be true around money affects the outcome. When I first began to teach, I decided that what was fair was $222 for three days. I could barely pay for all the expenses, but that amount seemed fair to me.

However, my secretary, who arranged the classes and actually talked to the potential students, thought that this amount was outrageously high. Even though she could see on the books that we were actually losing money, she still believed the workshop was too expensive. And so, every time someone called in to register for a class, her beliefs would transfer to the person signing up. Inevitably, they would ask for a payment plan. I ended up with hundreds of people making payments, which was slowly sending us into bankruptcy.

Then my secretary moved to another state, and I replaced her with a woman who believed the opposite of her predecessor. She believed that what I was charging was entirely too little. So she talked me into raising the amount to $333. And, because she thought this amount was fair, from the time she arrived not one single person felt as though they needed to have a payment plan. Not even one!

This story shows clearly that what you believe affects the outcome — even with money (incidentally, this is equally true if you have a healing practice — it doesn't just apply to teaching).

Financial Success Is Important
Today, after almost twenty years of experience around the subject of paying for spiritual knowledge, I believe more than ever that there needs to be an exchange. It needs to be fair, but not charging for spiritual teaching doesn't work, not for the teacher, and not for the student.

And what you personally believe around money will affect the outcome. Your beliefs about money will ultimately determine whether or not you succeed financially.

And succeeding financially is important, because until you do, you will be limited in your ability to share with others the spiritual teachings that God has given to you.

toate beneficiile, spune nutritionistul Sari Greaves din New York Presbyterian Spitalul-Cornell.

11. Tonul - acesta are un mic secret: Seleniu.
